The founder of UGREAT was a man who loved God — and still spent years bound. Substance abuse. Wrong association. Wasting away. Not because he didn't believe. But because no one had helped him connect who he was to why he was here.
In 2019, a pastor spoke one sentence over him after service and walked away.
"Men don't advise men. Only a man can advise himself. When the time is right, I pray God gives you the grace to come out of it."
That word broke something open. He made a decision. Within weeks, God moved a visa that should have taken months — and separated him from everything holding him back. In Istanbul, during COVID, alone and clean for the first time in years — a vision came.
"I saw people in chains — hands bound, feet bound — moving toward a tunnel. And they kept calling to me. Come save us."
He woke up knowing — that someone was him. UGREAT is his answer to that call.
